The supermarket said that the upturn in sales started on Friday, continued this week and is expected to continue through this weekend. It has even upped stock so it can cope with the increased demand.
To mark the increased sales, Tesco has pledged €10,000 to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Additionally, Tesco Ireland CEO Phil J. Clarke will participate in the ice bucket challenge today, while staff from Tesco Ireland’s head office in Dun Laoghaire will follow suit tomorrow.
D’aw.
