THE SCRIPT have been announced to play Croke Park in 2015.

The group were confirmed as the headline act for a concert on June 20, with support from Pharrell Williams. Tickets go on sale next Thursday at 9am.

There was widespread speculation about the identity of the act headlining the concert – the first musical event at the stadium since the Garth Brooks fiasco this summer.

However, bookmakers Paddy Power suspended betting yesterday following what they described as a “flurry” of wagers on the Dublin act.

Reaction to the announcement online has been mixed. Some people were happy:

Some, less so.

Tickets cost from €45 to €79.50 including booking fee. Only one date has been announced so far…
