These people rang 911 because they couldn't watch TV
A POLICE DEPARTMENT in Connecticut has been forced to issue a warning that not being able to watch TV is not a reason to ring emergency services.
Police in Fairfield have said that they received numerous 911 calls about a problem with their cable connection in southwestern Connecticut on Sunday night.
That’s right about the time the new episode of Breaking Bad was premiering on the AMC channel.
Coincidence?
In a Facebook post the police warned that the outage was “neither an emergency or a police related concern”.
Cablevision said in a statement shortly after 11 p.m. that there was a commercial power outage in its Norwalk facility. It was restored late last night.
