Tom Hardy effortlessly shut down a journalist asking about women in Mad Max

It only takes one word.

THERE HAS BEEN much discussion over how feminist the new Mad Max Fury Road film is, with Charlize Theron playing the powerful Imperator Furiosa and providing the backbone of the entire movie.

Star of the movie, Tom Hardy, was at a press conference in Cannes when he was asked about the role of women in the dystopian film. The film has been dubbed feminist propaganda due to its many powerful female roles and perceived message of gender equality.

His face.

Not impressed.

That question in full:

When you were reading the script, did you ever think, why are all these women in here, I thought this was supposed to be a man’s movie?

Tom:

awtf

So, no.

Check out the exchange here at about 10 minutes in.

Awkward.
