This brilliant box shows you tomorrow's weather in your own living room

You can give out about the rain whilst actually watching it.

LET’S FACE IT, cool gadgets for the gaff are never going to be a bad thing.

So, with that in mind, the internet has been going mad this week for the Tempescope - a box that sits in your house and actually simulates what the weather is going to be like the next day.

So, if it’s going to be cloudy, the box will get cloudy

It can go through the whole day for you in a few minutes – giving you a nice indoor view of tomorrow’s weather.

And, relevant to us here, it does rain very well

Everyone is going absolutely mad for it, because it really does look cool

And its lightning mode is probably its best feature

It was first developed in 2012 as a prototype, but it’s only in the last two days that the video has gone super viral – especially in Japan where the company is based:

They’re still not available for purchase on the company’s website, but people seem to have fallen in love with them.

We await their arrival in Ireland with fevered anticipation. The rain mode will probably run out of water within a week.
