Actual Irish trainee priest kicks Bishop Brennan up the arse

DAILYEDGE.IE READER Noel Barrett sent us this amazing story.

For his whole life, Noel’s brother Ronan has been a huge Father Ted fan. Say Noel:

He made a Fr Dougal Doll when he was five and a half. He would not go to sleep at night until he drank a cup of really strong tea an heard the opening music to Father Ted! Weird I know!

Now a grown man, Ronan is studying for the priesthood. He and some cohorts from Maynoot were on a religious retreat and visiting a church down the country. And who did they meet shooting a film, but Jim Norton – aka Bishop Len Brennan – in priest costume.

There was only one thing for it. So Ronan did the decent thing.
