What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Rose of Tralee (RTÉ One, 8pm)

It’s the grand finale of this year’s festival. Who will be crowned the 2015 Rose? What talents will be on display? Who will do something mortifying on the night? It’s all there to play for, and everyone will be cracking up on Twitter too #rot #roseoftralee

CSI: Cyber (RTÉ Two, 10pm)

The final episode in another CSI spin off. When will they end? Either way, tonight’s episode features James Van Der Beek and Oscar winner Patricia Arquette and it’s done with the regular CSI polish we have come to expect #CSI

Love/Hate (RTÉ One, 11.30pm)

The repeat of the fifth series is in full swing, with episode three on tonight for you to enjoy. It’s on directly after the Rose of Tralee, just in case you want something a little less intense before bed #LoveHate

Everybody’s talking about… the Britain’s Got Talent Dog

Earlier this year, a dog by the name of Matisse won Britain’s Got Talent with an impressive tightrope performance.

Turns out, though, they used a stunt dog for the show. Which has come back to haunt them with this decision yesterday:

Poor Matisse. All he wanted to do was win BGT, and they subbed him out at the last minute for a stunt dog. For shame. Read about it here for the full details on the Matisse saga. #neverforget

Or switch over for…

  • Republic of Doyle (UTV Ireland, 10.30pm) Always worth a watch, although it’s competing against the Rose, so maybe it faces tough competition tonight.
  • Prometheus (Film4, 9pm) Ridley Scott’s sci-fi epic with Fassbender and other.
  • Who Do You Think You Are? (BBC One, 11.35pm) In case you missed it the other night, Paul from The Great British Bake Off traces his roots. Will there be cakes involved? We don’t know. But there should be.
