U2 performed a surprise busking session for New York subway commuters last night
THIS WAS NO big stadium concert for U2 in New York last night – as their audience was just a bunch of people taking the train.
The band is in the middle of promoting their North American tour, and pitched up to a random New York subway platform for a few songs.
As part of a short set, the band did see fit to belt out Angel of Harlem – an appropriate choice

And, of course, they were mobbed for selfies

Some grainy footage has even appeared on Youtube
The band will appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this Friday, and Bono was even spotted cycling around Manhattan with the host

When you’re next in New York, watch out for some world class busking when you’re taking the subway. It’s bound to happen again.
