Irish Times journalist Una Mullally has revealed she has cancer
Photocall Ireland! Photocall Ireland!
IRISH TIMES JOURNALIST, author, presenter and marriage equality campaigner Una Mullally has revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer last month.
In a piece published today the 32-year-old has written about her illness in the context of the upcoming marriage equality referendum, and details her anger and embarrassment at ‘stuttering’ her partner Sarah’s name to a nurse when asked for next of kin details in hospital.
Mullally is currently undergoing aggressive treatment for a large tumour in her stomach, while continuing to campaign tirelessly for a Yes vote, calling it a “good distraction”.
