Everyone fell in love with this contestant on University Challenge last night
WE’VE COME TO expect serious boffins on University Challenge, but the brain power reached a whole new level during last night’s final.
The competition was won almost single-handedly by Ted Loveday from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge – defeating Binnie of Oxford’s Magdalen College, who previously wowed us with some ‘modular arithmetic’ earlier this year.

Of course, Loveday is now the new king of University Challenge. And Twitter has begun worshipping him accordingly.
