Ireland is going mad over this new Naked palette, but what's the big deal?
IF YOU HAVE a woman in your life, or are a fan of wearing makeup, chances are you’ll have heard of Urban Decay’s sought-after Naked eyeshadow palettes.
The announcement that Ireland is getting the new Smoky palette has been sending beauty-fans into a frenzy, as it promises to be “the key to nailing the most sought-after and elusive eye look ever”. That’s the smoky eye, to us humans.

The palette has all the colours you need to make a perfect smoky eye, and a lookbook if you get stuck along the way.
Mmmm.
But what’s the big deal?
People REALLY love these palettes. There’s four currently on the market, aptly named Naked basics, Naked 1, Naked 2, and Naked 3. Stats show that since the Naked 3 was put on limited release online, one was sold every second until it sold out. Debenhams have even put a limited of three per order on online purchases.
The packaging seems to be a big plus, first and foremost.

It includes a brush and is the perfect palette for blending.
As for the actual product, a trademarked ‘Pigment Infusion System’ means that each shadow is deeply-pigmented with a smoothness that makes them extremely blendable.

This one also has a colour called Whiskey. Enough said.
How much does it cost?
Part of the appeal is that it’s not that steep compared to other premium makeup brands. The other palettes are currently for sale in Debenhams at €46 each. There are many dupes on the market though, from brands such as Sleek and MUA.
People are already excited, no, extremely thirsty, for the palette
