Val the Cake Whisperer was the hero of the first episode of GBBO
THE GREAT BRITISH Bake Off returned last night and though there were 11 other bakers to meet, the one that captured hearts was 66-year-old former headteacher, Val.
BBC BBC
While she came all too close to being booted off thanks to two dodgy bakes, her quirks and a good turn in the Showstopper challenge made her number one in viewers’ eyes.

The next dancefloor craze, no doubt.

Happy as Larry.
She is chill as f**k

She dropped all her pretty flower cake decorations on the floor, shrugged, and used them anyway.
Although this chill wasn’t always beneficial to her baking

“That would be classed as a See Me.”
“Well, see ME later then.”
And, hilariously, she claims to know when her cakes are done by listening to them
As such, she has been dubbed The Cake Whisperer:
“They sing. They said they’re not ready.”
Everyone is in love
