Viennetta on a stick is a real ice cream and it needs to come to Ireland

This just got portable.

VIENNETTA RANKS HIGHLY in the pantheon of classic Irish desserts. When its wavy goodness was brought out it was a sure sign the dinner was a little fancier than usual.

But its regular form is large and cumbersome, meaning it could only ever be eaten in a dinner table setting. Until now:

In Australia they are introducing single serve Viennettas on a stick

All the Viennetta goodness, but portable. You’ll be able to buy them in shops much like you would any other ice cream

The Viennetta on a stick is on sale in China at the moment – but it has taken over Australian social media this week as they clamoured to get it brought to their country.

And the campaign was successful, as Pedestrian reports.

HB in Australia goes by the name of Streets – and yesterday they announced that they would be bringing them to shops soon

Of course you can make them yourself, but that’s not exactly practical for when you’re out and about.

DailyEdge.ie has asked HB Ireland whether we will be welcoming such glorious ice cream creations to our shores any time soon.

We await a response with baited breath.
