People cannot get over Vincent Browne's referendum broadcast from The George

Browne is covering the referendum from a gay bar in Dublin. Because of COURSE.

THE REFERENDUM has given us some interesting moments, but none quite as bizarre as Vincent Browne hosting a show from The George.

You may remember the rather excellent promotional pictures from earlier this week:

Vinny B is covering the referendum results at Dublin’s legendary gay bar, joined by Glenda Gilson, Oliver Callan and a cast of drag queens (as well as TheJournal.ie‘s Sinead O’Carroll).

The show has ended up being less of a current affairs programme and more of a raucous celebration – and Vincent, the audience, and the viewers at home are having the time of their LIVES.

Vincent styled it out for the occasion

The drag queens performed Lady Marmalade

There were a LOT of zingers thrown the No campaign’s way

As well as praise for the special #VinB theme tune

(It was Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, by the way.)

And everyone was quite sure that nothing would ever top it, TV-wise
