How to watch the Golden Globes 2014 live from Ireland

We’ve done the hard work for you. (You still have to stay up late though.)

THE 2014 GOLDEN Globe awards are held tonight in LA, with Michael Fassbender and U2 among Ireland’s hopes for a gong.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be hosting. You may remember their star turn last year.

It all begins with the red carpet show at 11pm Irish time. So how can you watch it? Well, you have a couple of options.

First of all, E! will be showing the whole thing from red carpet through the ceremony itself, starting at 11pm and running all the way up until 4am. (For those of you who don’t have work in the morning, or just REALLY care how well Philomena does.)

They’re on UPC channel 147 or Sky channel 151, and they’ll also be live streaming the red carpet on their UK website.

Second option: the Golden Globes official website will reportedly be live streaming the whole thing online for international viewers in Ireland and elsewhere.

Third option: the official US broadcast goes out on NBC starting at 8pm East Coast time – that’s 1am Irish time. If you want to brave the wilds of online livestreaming mirror sites, they’re out there.

And if all else fails – or you just really have to go to bed - RTÉ Two will be broadcasting the red carpet and the ceremony itself from 8.15pm tomorrow evening.

Of course, you can also follow all the action on social media. The Golden Globes will be providing updates through their official Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
