There's going to be a 260-foot-long water slide set up in Dublin later this month

Oh. Good. God.

EARLIER IN THE summer, an Athlone water park unveiled an absolute beast of a slide on Lough Ree and everyone was in love.

Now, for one day only, Dublin is going to have something to rival it.

Because 98FM are setting up an epic 260-foot-long water slide on Saturday July 23rd

This is not a drill, people.

They announced it today on their website, saying:

In the first event of its kind in Ireland, a 260FT water slide will be constructed in Dublin City Centre on Winetavern Street (near Christchurch Cathedral).

They have cleared it with the Council and it’s all set to go in a couple of weeks:

On Saturday 23rd of July, between 12pm-6pm, this two lane inflatable slide (5mt wide) will run from the arch of the Cathedral down to the base of the hill

They have even mocked up what the slide will look like on the hill down to the quays

It’s free admission for anyone who fancies it too – but you’ll have to get your hands on one of the 5000 wristbands being given out by the station.

Let’s pray for some sun.
