This class Waterford street art has gone global over the weekend

Praise you.

THE WATERFORD WALLS 2016 Festival saw the city transformed with 40 artists taking to the streets in August to work their magic on buildings and walls across the city.

And this weekend the world got to enjoy one of the pieces.

Because this wonderful shot of Waterford graffiti hit the front page of Reddit yesterday

Shared by user DrGrinspoon420, the work is by Glasgow street artist SmugOne, and according to WideWalls:

represents a true-to-life depiction of a fellow artist Dermot McConaghy. Untamed, red beard dominates the piece and every hair appears as if it is growing out of the building’s wall itself.

And it’s been noticed by plenty of passersby since its creation

It’s been viewed on Imgur over 100,000 times in the past 24 hours, with the internet clearly loving the detail and striking clarity.

The #WaterfordWalls hashtag is well worth checking out for all the other fine works on display – but for this weekend alone the spotlight is on just the one

Brilliant.
