Wrap up warm - it's going to be freezing cold this week
WHILE THIS WEEK will begin feeling like spring is on the way, temperatures will dip to freezing tomorrow.
Today will be cold, frosty and have scattered showers in Ulster and Connacht. It will feel wintry on higher grounds, but temperatures in the afternoon will hit between six and nine degrees Celsius.
Tonight will be very cold and dry with frost setting in quickly and becoming severe overnight with icy stretches as temperatures hit as low as -4 degrees.
Tomorrow will see frost, fog and icy patches clearing and only light, occasional showers.
The rest of the week will be largely similar – bright, cold and dry during the day then freezing overnight.
Into the weekend, Met Éireann says it will be freezing but dry.
