A wedding photographer didn’t show up for this couple’s big day but all was not lost

A different wedding photographer heard about their situation and offered to recreate the whole wedding – for free.

MATT AND HEATHER got married on September 12th this year in Michigan in the US – but the photographer didn’t actually bother to show up on the day.

Disaster.

But a heartwarming story has emerged since when a local photographer Dana Gruszynski heard about their plight, and recreated their special day for free – just to be sound.

Dana told the story of how it happened on her blog – and included some photos of the couple who were overwhelmed by the soundness of the gesture.

It was the day after Matt & Heathers wedding when I received a phone call from my cousin, Stacy. She had explained to me that she was at a wedding the night before, and their photographer did not show. My heart just sunk.

She immediately thought she could help them out:

It wasn’t even a minute after I got of the phone that I contacted the Bride, Heather. I introduced myself and asked her if she could meet me for coffee so we could chat. I got to know her a bit more, and though I had all these ideas in my head, I kept it simple and told her I wanted her to slip back into her dress and I would, free of charge, do a intimate bridal session.

So she recreated the big day, and got the couple’s friends and family together
