IF YOU’VE EVER dreamed of having your wedding reception in a place that features a rollercoaster and bears the name of your favourite Irish crisp brand then you’re in luck.

Tayto Park now offers such a service.

Just imagine it for a second

A spokesperson for Tayto Park confirmed to DailyEdge.ie that it’s a service that they offer now – and that the event would be held in ‘The Lodge’, right bang in the centre of the complex:

There has been one wedding reception there already. The Lodge is surrounded by all the attractions of Tayto Park so it would suit people looking for alternative venues.

Yes, and there is one particular asset that Tayto Park has over standard wedding venues:

We do have a rollercoaster. Recently a woman came to us and said she was very interested in the whole wedding party riding the Cú Chulainn.

Interesting.

The Lodge itself can hold up to 400 people for loads of events

But it’s the romance of a wedding reception that is the most intriguing

So, what about the main man himself? Will Mr Tayto be giving speeches and leading the dancefloor?

I’m sure if someone really wanted Mr Tayto to make an appearance then it could be organised.

So, Mr Tayto won’t be a regular feature of the weddings, but will you be surrounded by enthusiastic Tayto fans all day?

The timings and dates would work out that the receptions and events would be held on days that the park isn’t open to the public.

So you have free run of The Lodge for you and your wedding party.

Perfect to dance the night away
