Here's how to watch the Oscars 2014 live from Ireland
PLANNING ON STAYING up to watch the Oscars tonight? The 86th Academy Awards take place in Los Angeles today and there are so many questions to be answered. Will Leo FINALLY get a gong? Will Bono wear his glasses during the U2 performance? Will Michael Fassbender shave the beard?
Ellen DeGeneres is hosting for the second time, and quite frankly, we’re shocked if you haven’t taken the day off tomorrow for it.

The red carpet begins at 11pm and DailyEdge.ie will be liveblogging the WHOLE thing. Want to watch along?
E! will be showing the carpet in full, and is usually your best bet if you have UPC (channel 147) or Sky (channel 151), but an online stream will also be available. Sky Living (UPC channel 124, Sky 235) will also be showing proceedings from 11.30pm.
As for the ceremony itself, dedicated channel Sky Oscars (UPC Channel 307, Sky 304) will broadcast the entire thing from 1.30pm-5am. Jeez.
If you’re lacking a telly, the official US broadcast goes out on ABC and starts at 1am Irish time. There are plenty of streaming sites out there, just be careful of dodgy links. Twitter is usually helpful in providing sound sources.

If you fancy watching it in a group, there are also some watching parties in Dublin. Filmbase has a viewing starting at 11pm, it’s just a fiver in with a free drink. The Sugar Club have a similar set-up, complete with a black tie dress code. Fancy!
If all else fails or you have to get up at a humane time tomorrow, RTÉ Two will of course broadcast the highlights tomorrow at 9pm.
You can also track all of the action on social media. The Academy have a great Twitter, Facebook, and it’s also worth keeping an eye on E! for red carpet shots.
OR, you could just follow DailyEdge.ie for all that liveblog goodness.
Now… who’s gonna win the office sweepstakes?
