TALK ABOUT GOING HAM.
A wild boar caused chaos in Hong Kong last weekend after it crashed through the ceiling of a shopping centre.
The BBC reports that the female boar climbed up a ladder and fell into a children’s clothing store at the Chai Wan mall.
What followed was a four-hour standoff with police and animal control officers, who eventually tranquillised the animal and brought it to a rehabilitation centre.
“Hey there, don’t mind me. Just dropping in.”
According to the South China Morning Post, wild boars are quite common in more rural areas of Hong Kong.
The shop manager told the newspaper:
It just came out of nowhere, and turned around at the shop window. It also pushed open the fitting room door and got in. Pigs are actually not stupid.
We hear the police gave her a good porking-to down the station. Ahem.
