Will Ferrell dressed up as a leprechaun and sang Danny Boy for St Patrick’s Day
THERE WERE PROBABLY millions of Americans dressed as leprechauns yesterday, but one of them pulled it off better than most.
And that person was Will Ferrell.
We’ve seen him in an Ireland jersey here before, but last night he went on Letterman in a full leprechaun outfit – and also sang his own version of Danny Boy:
Declaring that he takes St. Patrick’s Day very seriously, Ferrell obviously cares deeply about the snake epidemic in New York City.
Usually the leprechaun outfit is a little overdone and cliched, but he pulls this off with enough comedy that makes it just about OK.
And not a mention of the dreaded “St. Patty’s Day”. We’ll take that.
