Oh, just Will Ferrell playing Trivial Pursuit in Bundoran in 1989

Wonder if he won?

WILL FERRELL visited Donegal in 1989 for a bit of R&R.

And Jack Murray – a youngster at the time, now a Sinn Féin councillor in Inishowen - recently found the gloriously 1980s photographic record.

Here’s Will with Jack’s uncle Dom, at Dom’s home in Bundoran:

According to Murray, Ferrell was in Ireland because he was dating a distant cousin of the family in LA. He told DailyEdge.ie:

She came to Ireland regularly to visit relatives and on this trip she brought her boyfriend Will to Bundoran. They were there for a week or so and met all the family who lived there. He wasn’t famous at the time [...] Apparently he was funny but fairly shy and quiet.

If the dates are correct, the comedian would have been a college student at the time – he graduated from the University of Southern California in 1990 with a degree in Sports Information.

Wonder if that helped contend with the Murrays at Trivial Pursuit…
