RTÉ revamping Winning Streak... Is Marty Morrissey taking over?

RTE has confirmed that there are changes afoot.

RTÉ HAS CONFIRMED that there are changes on the way for Winning Streak, but won’t say whether or not Marty Whelan will be staying on.

A spokesperson for the national broadcaster has confirmed to DailyEdge.ie that both RTÉ and the National Lottery are “looking at options to renew and refresh Winning Streak”.

A report in today’s Irish Sun indicates that Marty Morrissey may be lined up to replace Winning Streak veteran Marty Whelan as part of the shake up.

RTÉ has confirmed that a technical run through was filmed in its studios last week to trial some new games and a possible new format. The new set up could possibly be rolled out in the autumn.

The spokesperson said that no concrete decision has been made regarding format or presenters.

In January Marty Whelan revealed that he got hair transplants in a bid to look his best for TV.

At the time he said:

For me, I feel better about me. I’m not a vain person, but I am in an industry that looks at you every 12 months and says, hmmmm.
