EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.
Zac Efron has got himself into all sorts of bother after he sent this tweet out yesterday – which also happened to be Martin Luther King Day in the States:
He has since deleted it, but that didn’t stop half the country thinking it was absolutely baffling:
I’m grateful for a couple things today: Martin Luther King Jr & 10 million followers on IG.
He got on to his Instagram shortly after and apologised wholeheartedly for the tweet:
Meanwhile, the first trailer dropped for his and Seth Rogen’s new movie Bad Neighbours 2.
A mixed bag of a day for Zac, then.
Michael Fassbender has been speaking about why Steve Jobs was a box office flop – even though it has won some serious critical acclaim.
He told The Wall Street Journal:
I’m not sure why people go see certain films over other films. A lot of the times in the cinema it helps if it’s an event of some sorts. You have to see that film at the cinema.
There are a lot of options. People work very hard, long hours, come home, and they have good home entertainment centers. But I have no idea to be honest.
Their loss tbh.
Jamie Foxx is the hero that America needs right now.
Why? Well, he’s only gone and saved someone from a burning truck on Monday.
According to US Weekly and NBC news, Jamie saved the man’s life by getting to his vehicle in time, as the police recounted in a Facebook post:
Jamie told CHP that he heard the accident and also a person screaming from the overturned vehicle. Jamie also made a 911 call … [and] said he was able to reach into the vehicle, grab the person, and drag them away to safety.
Hero!
And his daughter confirmed on Twitter that her dad had an interesting Monday evening:
So now.
All the rest of the day’s dirt:

- Gigi now has Zayn as her screensaver on her phone. True love. (Daily Mail)
