You had a favourite of course, which was most likely Joey McIntyre if you were slightly younger, Jordan Knight if you liked the boy next door look and Donnie Wahlberg if you were totally rebellious and cool.

Lee Sharpe and/or Ryan Giggs

You probably had an older brother who made you watch football matches whether you liked it or not.

You decided that you’d have to find an advantage to this situation and so robbed the posters of pin-ups like Lee Sharpe and Ryan Giggs from his Shoot or Match magazines.

It also meant you had serious credibility with the boys in your class. You were delighted that you felt no shame over the Lee Sharpe crush when you watched him on Celebrity Love Island.

You probably even cracked out a new video tape to record it on the Beat Box. You’ll still sing along to it if you hear it on the radio.

Oh the teenage angst. Who didn’t love the complicated lives of Pacey, Joey, Andie, Dawson and Jen? But you had to be either Team Pacey or Team Dawson.

Chances are James Van Der Beek was actually the one you fancied from the show even though Joshua Jackson was right there in front of you too. There’s no point in you even trying to explain it. You wouldn’t know where to start.
