What to watch on TV tonight: Monday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Irish Asylum Seeker Scandal (TV3, 10pm)

This new series will tell the stories of the thousands of people trapped in Ireland’s broken asylum seekers system, which the government has spent millions on running. It’s also the first time camera crews have been granted access to a Direct Provision Centre. Bound to be eye-opening.

Tony O’Reilly – The Real Deal (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

New documentary examines the rise and fall of Tony O’Reilly – once CEO of Heinz and Independent News and Media and Ireland’s richest man, now insolvent. We’ll see interviews with his son Tony O’Reilly Jr, businessman Michael Smurfit and politician Seamus Mallon.

Gareth’s All-Star Choir (BBC1, 9pm)

In lighter fare, choirmaster Gareth Malone brings together a selection of untrained voices from the entertainment world in the hopes of making a beautiful choir. The recruited shlebs include comedian Jo Brand, footballer Fabrice Muamba and actress Alison Steadman. Cheese-tastic. #allstarchoir

Everybody’s talking about… Charlie Murphy on #LoveHate

lovehate5

Last night’s episode was an absolute nail-biter (read our full recap here) but a special shout must go out to actress Charlie Murphy, who played an absolute blinder as Siobhán.

If there’s anyone who deserves to see another season, it’s Charlie/Siobhán. Let’s just hope she makes it out of this one in one piece…
