Juliette Lewis injured in hit-and-run

The actor’s car was rammed in California by a driver running a red light.

ACTOR AND SINGER Juliette Lewis has been injured in a hit-and-run accident in California, according to local police.

The BBC quotes sergeant Sean Kelley who explained that Lewis had been sitting in the back seat of a car when another driver ran a red light an rammed into her vehicle.

The other car then drove away.

The 37-year-old actress was brought to hospital after she complained about pain in her head and neck. She was later discharged.

Police are now searching for the other driver, who is still at large.

Lewis has appeared in well-known movies like Natural Born Killers, Kalifornia and Cape Fear – for which she was nominated for an Oscar. She had been promoting her upcoming movie Conviction when the accident occurred.

Lewis is also a singer and currently performs in the band The New Romantiques.
