Rapper B.o.B is raising money to buy satellites to prove that Earth is actually flat

He has raised just $646 of his $200,000 target.

YOU MAY NOT remember, but seven years ago B.o.B appeared out of nowhere and had two very popular songs. One was Airplanes ft. Hayley Williams and the other was Nothin’ On You feat. Bruno Mars.

Since then, he’s been pretty much unheard of outside of America. For the last seven years, he has used this downtime to philosophise about the Earth’s true form. He believes it’s flat and isn’t ashamed to say it.

In tweets which have since been deleted, he told his followers “A lot of people are turned off by the phrase ‘flat earth’… but there’s no way u can see all the evidence and not know… grow up’ [sic].

He went as far as taking a photo on a mountain/hill to prove his theory that there is no curve on the planet’s horizon.

Despite having a song called ‘Airplanes’, he has yet to acknowledge the visibile curve you can see while flying.

A fan shut down his theory about the 16 mile gap between the cities, explaining that ’16 miles is 0.06% of the earth’s circumference. You can’t expect to see the curvature of earth in that distance.’

Anyone who attempted to present him with evidence that the planet is in fact a sphere was shot down. One user asked why the edge had yet to be discovered in 2017 if it existed, to which he replied “Have u been to the edge? or is that what your science book told you?”

Before we get onto the satellites that he’s raising money for, surely it would make more sense in terms of finance for him to just buy a boat and sail to the ‘edge’ of the Earth.

The day he originally shared his theory was January 2016. Unsatisfied with the reaction from his followers, he wrote “Well, at least ppl are better at insulting me than they are at thinking”.

Last night, he launched a GoFundMe account to crowdfund a satellite.

In a video explaining what he wants to do, he introduces himself by saying “What’s up y’all, it’s Flat Earth Bob here.”

Atm Vibes / YouTube

I’m starting this GoFundMe because I would like to send one, if not multiple satellites as far into space as I can, or into orbit as I can, to find the curve. I’m looking for the curve.

This idea was inspired by a Twitter user offering a solution for flat-earthers.

B.o.B shared Tim Pastoor’s tweet to his profile, adding “Actually, that’s a great idea.”

At present, the rapper has raised $646 of his $200,000 goal. The reaction on the GoFundMe page is a bit mixed. One comment pointed out that he incorrectly used the word orbit:

Let me get this straight. You want to prove the Earth is flat by putting a satellite in “Orbit?” Ha ha ha ha. P.S. If you don’t get the joke, please look up the definition of orbit.

Another person wrote:

I’ll donate $1,000 if you can tell me what that curved shadow is on a crescent moon.

However, one person donated $50 to B.o.B’s cause, writing:

Stay strong bro! You got some major balls to go right to the forefront of this.

All of the things you could spend $50 on and you decide to donate it to proving the Earth is flat.

Lol, can’t he just look at the moon and see that it’s round and if so the earth was how did no one ever fly or sail off the edge. Imagine 1000′s of years of science proving the earth is round for a man in 2017 to believe it’s flat. Jesus christ.

What i dont get is why they think we are being misled… if they think that scientists /astronauts are lying ..why..what do they have to gain by this lie?

I’ve been down this rabbit hole, and I don’t recommend it, but if you want your mind blown apart by stupidity and lack of reason, here is some quality stuff.

Youtube is also full of amazing flat earth videos.
