ARE IRISH MEN the most handsome in the world? Perhaps not, but we do have a fair few fine things from this very country.
With this in mind, Irish beauty blog Beaut.ie asked its readers who the hottest Irish men are for their annual 50 Fine Things survey, and the results are… interesting.
Younger men seem to be in vogue, as in a surprise result the energetic twins Jedward topped the poll. Perhaps their blond quiffs mesmerised Beaut.ie readers, for they voted in their droves for the two young men.
Sticking with the musical theme, strong-jawed Bressie – currently on The Voice – came second, while the top sporting man was Tommy Bowe in third place.
Actors Chris O’Dowd (10) and Michael Fassbender (4) scooped hundreds of votes, while comedians David O’Doherty (50) and Dara O’Briain (13) proved that there’s nothing like a man who makes you laugh.
Interestingly, Pierce Brosnan and Ryan Tubridy were tied 45th place, while Paul O’Connell and Nicky Byrne also found themselves tied, but in 29th place.
RTÉ’s Bryan Dobson was featured on the list for the first time, with one commenter describing him as “the thinking woman’s crumpet”.
