(Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched episode 5!)
IT’S ALL REALLY kicking off now, isn’t it?
Hayley was feeling massively relieved following this week’s recoupling, where – despite having absolutely no reason to – Eyal decided to give her another shot.
Yep. There’s a couple in love!
After expressing her gratitude and saying she would like to continue getting to know him as a person, the pair shared a lil cheeky kiss. I mean, what could possibly go wrong, eh?
A lot, seemingly. As it turns out, Hayley still actually wasn’t that keen on him, and confided in Wes and Laura, saying she was upset with the way he “breathed” and joked how it made her feel “sick”.
I’m very grateful that he’s chosen me because I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him, but I just feel like obviously because I kissed him last night, that’s just clarified that I literally don’t want anything more with him.”
Wes wasn’t having any of this, so decided to ask Jack for advice as to whether to tell Eyal how Hayley really felt about him. With the #lads seal of approval, Wes told Eyal everything.
“I do think you need to confront her about it and say ‘I think that some of the things that you said are getting a bit personal.”
Confronting Hayley at the fire pit in an effort to “raise some f*cking heat”, (ok, they’re in Majorca as it is but whatever), he said: “So I’m going to try to keep a cool head, and I would ideally like you to do the same but the bottom line is you’ve been chatting sh*t about me.
You’ve been getting personal for no reason. You always say that you’re a straight up person and you say it how it is, but you’ve been walking around, bitching about me to other people. You know exactly what you’ve been saying.”
Hayley interrupts him and shouts back: “That you’re not my type?”
But Eyal is having none of it and tells her: “Come off it. That’s all you’ve said? I should have trusted my gut last night.
You sat here and you tried to tell me that you wanted to give me a chance and that you wanted to get to know me.”
… To which she replies for the 406th time, “YEAH AS A FRIEND!”
Anyway, having been caught rapid, Hayley looks to blame Wes for telling Eyal in the first place, while also crying in an effort to ensure that nobody thinks this situation is of her own doing AT ALL.
She told Wes: “What’s gone on? I don’t understand. I’ve chosen you to confide in.”
Then, Laura lost the rag at him too:
I’m really annoyed, I don’t understand. Me, you and Hayley sat and had a private conversation, it’s nothing to do with us Wes.”
Private conversation on national television? Ok.
(It’s important to remember that, half an hour earlier, they were genuinely entertaining the idea that the two of them might get married).
Anyone, from the looks of things, Eyal ends up getting stuck in to new girl Megan on their date. As for Hayley? It’s looking like her days on the island are numbered.
