Last week’s dater Matt returns to try to redeem himself with another lady following his not-so-successful first attempt with his French date Julie. It can’t go worse than that, in fairness.
The Parkinson’s Drug Trial: A Miracle Cure? (BBC Two, 9.00pm)
The first in a two-part documentary following a group of volunteers with Parkinson’s disease as they take part in a ground-breaking medical trial to test a new drug, run by doctors in Bristol. Filmed over six years, the first step is for all 42 volunteers to have surgery, implanting a device into the side of the head that allows the delivery of the drug into a deep part of the brain. The surgery and infusions that follow are medical firsts and the trial offers hope to the estimated 10 million affected globally.
Three Identical Strangers (Channel 4, 9.00pm)
Documentary telling the astonishing true story of three men – Robert Shafran, Edward Galland and David Kellman – who made the chance discovery at the age of 19 that they were identical triplets, who were separated at birth and adopted by three different sets of parents within a 100-mile radius of each other in New York State. The trio’s joyous reunion catapults them to fame and they became instant media sensations – opening an A-list New York restaurant and even appearing in a movie with Madonna. But the brothers’ discovery also sets in motion a chain of events that unearths an extraordinary and disturbing secret that goes far beyond their own lives.
Everyone’s talking about: The 90210 revival
Yep, there’s another one a-coming. A six-episode event series is set to arrive later in the year, and OGs including Jason Priestly, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling and more are on board to return.
