FOR THE SECOND TIME in a week, it transpires that the must-have accessory for international music superstars isn’t a chihuahua in a handbag, or even their own tour bus – it’s an Iarnród Éireann train ticket. The Irish Rail Twitter account claims that U2 travelled on the 2:30pm train from Cork to Heuston today, after having two flights cancelled on the home leg of their return from touring in Australia. Last week, Shakira took the Belfast Enterprise from Dublin Connolly to travel for a gig up north.
