A former Irish Eurovision contestant is auditioning on tonight's X Factor
REMEMBER THE LAD we sent forward for Eurovision back in 2017?
He looked a bit like Justin Trudeau. Yeah, that guy.
Well, his name is Brendan Murray and he’s back on our tellies after a year’s absence. The now 21-year-old singer auditioned for X Factor with the tune ‘We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off’ by Jermaine Stewart.
Things didn’t exactly go to plan, however, because the judges hated his song choice. Robbie Williams told Brendan that he has an “impossibly perfect pop voice”, and Simon Cowell sent him backstage with another idea, which will be revealed in tonight’s episode (which airs on TV3 at 8pm).
Here’s the preview of Brendan’s audition.
…And here’s his Eurovision entry.
