IT’S HARD TO believe what we were willing to accept as ‘normal’ television a decade ago.
Somehow, the ridiculous concept of Supersize vs Superskinny managed to not only get past a boardroom, but managed to stay on television for seven full series. It was the Celtic Tiger. Standards were really low. Anyone could make a TV show. That’s simply the only explanation for E4′s ‘Sex in Court’.
Sex in Court survived for one series, with seven extremely ridiculous episodes that nobody ever deserved to be subjected to. The 2007 series saw couples face each other in a courtroom-style setup, where they put each other on trial for complaints they have about their sex lives.
The only video evidence that proves that this show ever existed is an extremely low quality trailer from 2007.
Because there are no episodes online, you might think we’re safe from discovering what the actual complaints made on this show were. Nope. Someone decided to log all of the details from each episode on Wikipedia.
Every episode is so problematic that there’s no point even trying to break down what is wrong with it. Revenge porn barely warrants a slap on the wrist…
A woman is sent on a ‘fellatio course’ because she refused to participate in oral sex…
Who would willingly participate in this? And even more incredibly, who has a partner who would just happily agree with the suggestion of going on this show? “Yeah, fine. We can go on E4′s Sex Court to sort it out.” Somehow, it happened.
Here’s a list of every episode.
Please remember that this is the shite we used to tolerate next time you speak ill of Love Island.
