AARON’S TAKEAWAY IN Kilsheelan, Co Tipperary made a name for itself with its four foot wrap challenge and a ridiculous 14-layer burger.

Never let it be said that they’re not patriotic in their creations.

Because today – for one day only – they’ve introduced these battered sausages to the menu

Well now.

They were popular last year, so the takeaway brought them back by popular demand. When questioned today by DailyEdge.ie about what exactly we’re dealing with here, Aaron’s said:

We batter the whole sausage first with a plain flour then use food colouring and flour and rebatter the ends.

Right.

And they go down well:

We made loads yesterday for today. Took hours but they always sell out.

Have you ever felt so patriotic?

Surely preferable to green beer or those green Superquinn sausages?
