Florence Welch needed a drink the first time she saw Adele perform because she was so good

SHE MAY HAVE just released her fourth studio album but did you know that Florence + the Machine, Adele and Kate Nash all started to make it big on the British music scene around the same time?
Florence herself was speaking about this mad batch of talent on a special show on Radio X devoted to a track by track playing of her new album ‘High as Hope’.
It turns out that one night the line up for a particular gig had Kate Nash headlining with Adele supporting and Florence on before that. Imagine how much you’d pay on Seatwave (let’s face it, they’d be sold out on Ticketmaster) for tickets to that gig now?

Florence’s performance wasn’t as good as it could have been as she was a little drunk but it turns out Adele was so good Florence needed another drink to cope with the talent that she was hearing.
Very relatable Florence tbh.
I mean, if you take yourself back to when you first heard Adele and think about how it made you feel. Her album 21 had a lot of us reaching for the wine.
