Aer Lingus had a particularly sound exchange with Icelandair after leaving their country off a map

Iceland is missing.

AER LINGUS ARE not afraid to throw around the odd slagging to other national airlines on Twitter when the time is right.

But yesterday they had to be a bit sounder thanks to an eagle-eyed Twitter user.

It was pointed out to Icelandair that Aer Lingus had left the whole nation of Iceland off an in-flight map

Well, well, well.

So Icelandair had to bring this to Aer Lingus’s attention

Aer Lingus immediately soothed it over with an apology

But Icelandair couldn’t leave it there – they made their own map, and Ireland had gone missing

Aer Lingus were in shock

It was just a cropping issue!

But it’s OK, Icelandair still wanted to be friends

Relations between Ireland and Iceland are still going strong – and, last we checked, both islands are still present and correct.

All good.
