VIDEO: Alan Rickman making tea really, really, really sloooooowly

Forget Snape, forget Eamon de Valera, forget the baddie from Die Hard: this is about as tense as it gets.

THERE’S LITTLE we can say about this – except to say it’s surprisingly tense.

Alan Rickman has a pretty hefty cinematic resume – and though he might be known for his turn as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, his work across a multitude of genres had already won many fans.

You’ve never seen him in anything like this, though. Here he’s making tea – in a video that’s been deliberately slowed down and overlaid with music from the soundtrack to Inception.

The video is part of David Michalek’s series ‘Portraits in Dramatic Time’, in which everyday processes are given an extra dollop of tension.

We’ll stop there, in case we spoil it. Just watch.
