A tweet describing Amal Clooney as 'actor's wife' caused a heap of drama over the weekend

SINCE AMAL CLOONEY (née Alamuddin) married George Clooney, it has been pointed out time and time again that George’s accomplishments as an actor kind of pale in comparison to her accomplishments as a human rights lawyer.
Here’s Tina Fey and Amy Poehler telling it like it is at the Golden Globes earlier this year.
But that didn’t stop The Associated Press as referring to her as “actor’s wife” in a tweet over the weekend.
*facepalm*
Yes, Clooney may be representing a journalist in an extremely high-profile case that has been described by Amnesty International as an “affront to justice,” but let’s lead with the fact that she’s married to a celebrity.
Needless to say, the tweet has not gone down well.
Whoops!

Memo to Associated Press: we know who Amal Clooney is married to — her surname is kind of a dead giveaway – and it’s irrelevant.
Describing her as a “lawyer” will do just fine, thanks.
