THE SISTERHOOD OF the Travelling Pants – the ultimate ‘coming-of-age’ movie – came out 13 years ago.
Let it be said, however, that the scenario of one pair of pants fitting every girl would never be true in Ireland, as every single shop’s sizing varies so widely. (H&M, I’m looking at you).
The films’ stars Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn have remained close ever since, even without having a magical piece of denim to bind them for all eternity.
They even made the time to get together this week to celebrate America Ferrera’s pregnancy.
Amber Tamblyn captioned the reunion pic: “Didn’t think anything could beat kicking off the new year with the #TIMESUP initiative, but then …”
Cute!
On how they’ve managed to maintain their friendship for over a decade, Amber said in a previous interview:
I think patience for any friendship is good, you know? Especially poor Blake [Lively]. She’s got two kids. So, sometimes I’ll text her, and you don’t hear back for a week and you’re like, ‘Hellllo?!’ Oh, I forgot, you have two kids under the age of 2. That’s insane.”
Rumours have been circulating about a third movie in the franchise since 2014, but plans have yet to come to fruition.
