What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about today and talking about tomorrow.
Sick of It (Sky One, 10pm)
Karl Pilkington is back with a new series. This one is a comedy, and follows taxi driver Karl who moves in with his aunt after breaking up with his girlfriend. His closest friend is a voice in his head, which just won’t shut up and is quite outrageous. This one’s bound to be a laugh.
American Horror Story (Fox, 10pm)
It’s back, and better than ever. The new series, Apocalypse, starts tonight for UK and Irish audiences. It’s pretty much exactly what you’d think, with nuclear missiles triggering a nuclear winter, and a new world order starts selecting young people to save based on their genetic makeup. Some lighthearted viewing for your Thursday evening.
War and Peace (RTE 1, 10.35pm)
A new adaptation of Tolstoy’s famous novel about aristocratic families as they live through Napoleon’s invasion of Russia. Paul Dano, Lily James, and Gillian Anderson all star.
Everyone’s talking about… Dani Dyer’s reality show
It’s been confirmed that Love Island’s Dani Dyer is already filming her new reality show.
Capital FM Capital FM
Rumours were floating around last month that Danny Dyer’s daughter signed up to appear in a show following her day to day life, as well as her family.
She told Capital that they’ve just “sorted of started, it’s exciting. It is hard work though”.
We’re sure it is, Dan.
Or flick over for…
Inside James’s (Virgin Media One, 9pm) A look inside the workings and stories behind the Dublin hospital.
Celebrity Masterchef (BBC 1, 8pm) The battle continues with the remaining culinary celebs.
The Circle (Channel 4, 10pm) The strange social media social experiment continues.
Strangers (Virgin Media One, 10pm) A new thriller series about a professor whose wife is killed in a car crash in Hong Kong, only to soon discover she was leading a secret life.
