US Embassy in Dublin claims Americans invented St Patrick's Day

They asked people in the streets of the capital what they thought.

The US Embassy in Dublin has set out a case for owning the concept of Paddy’s Day, throwing reasons like “marching bands” and “turning things green” in our faces.
