Amy Huberman's comedy picked up in US - but will she be in it?
AMY HUBERMAN’S LATEST comedy venture has won its big break – securing a prized commission for a full series from US broadcaster NBC.
But there seems to be some doubt over whether Hubes will actually be appearing in the show.
Animal Practice, which TV.com compares to “a comedic version of House” is set in a veterinary clinic, and also stars a monkey.
In the pilot, Huberman starred as the new manager of the clinic – filmed by You, Me and Dupree directors Anthony and Joe Russo – after impressing producers in her first US audition.
And the pilot caught the attention of NBC commissioning editors, who have now picked it up for a full series, IFTN reports.
Huberman’s husband, rugby player Brian O’Driscoll congratulated her on Twitter:
So will Huberman be jetting off to Hollywood? BOD seems to think so – but Huberman herself has other ideas:
So, er… congratulations? Or maybe not. Either way, Brian and Amy should probably have a chat before booking the flights.
