Adele nearly married Amy Schumer and her partner, but changed her mind at the last minute

First Alan, then Amy…

LAST WEEK, IT was revealed that Adele actually got ordained in order to marry Alan Carr and his long-term partner, Paul Drayton.

Alan, who shares a very close relationship with the singer, said her participation in the day made it one of the most memorable occasions of his life.

She is the kindest, most sweetest, loveliest person ever. She did the whole day. It was the best day of my life. I want to tell everyone because she won’t say because she is so private – she just planned it all and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Well, it turns out that Alan wasn’t the only comedian Adele considered helping out, on the marriage front.

According to Amy Schumer, Adele offered to marry her and her partner Chris Fischer after a drunken night in Jennifer Lawrence’s house.

Speaking to Sirius FM, the Trainwreck star explained that after a rake of drink, the trio got to talking about weddings.

I was staying in LA in a house near Jennifer, who lives right by Adele and they’re really good friends and I’d never met her before, so we hung out a little bit that week. Then we were real drunk one night and talking about how we wanted to get married and Adele was like, ‘Well, I can marry you’, and we were like, ‘Okay, cool.

Apparently, the plan was in place for a ceremony on a Tuesday at noon, but Adele only went and changed her mind.

Amy is of the opinion that Adele felt that taking part in another ceremony may take the shine off Alan and Paul’s spacial day back in January.

Then the next day, she’s like, ‘Hey, we’re not really friends.” She got ordained to marry her good friend, so I think she was like, ‘They’ll be annoyed if I just start marrying random basic bitches”.

Despite the fact Adele was no longer willing to officiate the ceremony, Amy and Chris decided they were still all for a no-fuss wedding.

So, then we were like, ‘Should we still get married on Tuesday?’ and decided, ‘Yeah’, who cares, let’s do it, so there’s no drama. No planning. When you see your friend go through planning a wedding, it just seems like it sucks, so I just texted people.

Amy and Chris tied the knot on February 13 this year.
