There is finally a music video for iconic Gaeltacht banger An Dreoilín

IF YOU ATTENDED a Gaeltacht as a teen, chances are you have fond memories of An Dreoilín, a banger amongst bangers.

A quick glance through YouTube and you’ll find countless dances, flashmobs and impromptu singalongs. It still retains a special place in the hearts of Gaeltacht kids all these years later.

As iconic as it is, however, there’s never been an official music video for An Dreoilín. Until now, that is. Irish language magazine NÓS have taken it upon themselves to release a music video for the song.

The video features a man in a bird costume giving it absolute socks.

Rather charmingly, it also features a cameo from the songwriter Seán Monaghan.
