Galway pub An Púcán has employed an Elf on the Shelf just in time for Christmas

Watching over you as you pint.

AN PÚCÁN PUB, just off Eyre Square in Galway, is looking pretty festive at this time of year with sea of Christmas lights hanging off the front.

And last night they went one better – they introduced everyone to their new staff member:

Now, those familiar with The Elf on the Shelf phenomenon will know that parents leave the figure on their mantelpiece to keep watch over the kids – and he moves around in the middle of the night.
