9 animals that wreaked havoc on Ireland, ranked by severity
A LLAMA CAUSED road traffic havoc this morning in Offaly. Look at it there, not a bother on it, despite ruining many a morning.
But as far as animals wreaking havoc on our little country, it’s not the worst.
9. Swans
Tis a known fact that swans prefer marching down our busy commuter roads than actually getting in the water.
No swans, you DON’T own the place.
8. All Seagulls ever
It took one brave man, senator Ned O’Sullivan, to confirm what we already new. Dublin’s seagulls have well and truly lost the run of themselves.
We saw much evidence of the silent takeover last year, and it’s fair to say that their disruption level has yet to reach its peak.
FEAR THEM.
7. The Tallaght camel
This circus camel got loose in Tallaght and proceeded to have a little march around the local greenery.
He stuck to the fields though, so traffic disruption was at a minimum. Good lads.
6. Boar of tulla
The Wild Boar of Tulla ‘terrorised’ residents when it was caught on camera last year. Locals have had minimal interaction with the mysterious boar, but have been warned not to approach it.
How do they sleep at night?
5. Leitrim’s missing Ostrich
A big bird owned by a woman in Leitrim got loose during the summer and considering the fact that ostriches are pure evil and scarily fast and tall, this is one of the most worrying yet.

4. The Big Cat of Co Down
A big cat was seen various times in Down two years ago and put the fear of GOD in people. The cat was never confirmed to exist, but it was blamed for many sheep attacks in the area.

3. Waterford pig
Never forget the Waterford pig. At last yea’s Waterford Harvest Festival, a stray pig was spotted legging it past the stage like it owned the place.
The Waterford pig will never be forgotten.
2. The runaway elephant in Cork
A 2.5 ton elephant broke loose in Blackpool, Cork, and it is mind-numbingly scary. DO NOT WANT. Some damage was done to vehicles but nobody was injured.
1. The Devil otter of Tulla
How much animal madness can Tulla take? The otter caused havoc by getting his head stuck in a Tayto bag and then just loosing it. He was eventually accosted by a man he tried to attack and was held captive in his van… which he then chewed through. Harrowing.
There’s a llama loose on the roads in Offaly>
Is there a camel on the loose in Tallaght?>
