TV3 accidentally aired a parody version of an Ann and Barry book on the Six O'Clock Show last night
ANN AND BARRY helped many Irish children learn to read in the 80s.
For some (me), Ann and Barry were living the dream – they seemingly had a never-ending supply of jam and cakes at their fingertips.
Irish students witnessed the pair navigate their way through primary school as they did simultaneously.
But an extract shown on last night’s Six O’Clock Show on TV3 leads us to believe that we might not have been paying close enough attention.
Can’t read the text? Let’s zoom in there for you…
It reads: “Ann is stoned and has the munchies. Barry is simple and from Tallaght, he has robbed a jam jar.”
Eh, we must have been out the day we read this in 3rd class?
The edit is obviously not legit and has been doing the rounds on Irish internet forums for years.
We went back to the 3player to try and get shot of it ourselves, but it appears to have been edited out. Hmm.
Google Images, back at it again getting people in trouble on the internet.
DailyEdge have contacted TV3 for comment.
